Dr. Heather Quaile discusses the importance of trauma-informed care in women’s health. This session highlights strategies for creating a safe, empathetic environment and delivering evidence-based care to support patients with trauma histories.
Heather Quaile, DNP, WHNP-BC, SANE-A, NCMP, FAANP, is a double board-certified women’s health nurse practitioner and advanced forensic nurse with over 21 years of experience in women’s healthcare. She specializes in integrative gynecology, menopause, female sexual dysfunction, pelvic floor dysfunction, and trauma-informed care.
Dr. Quaile earned her Doctor of Nursing Practice degree from Chatham University and her Master of Science in Nursing from Vanderbilt University. She is a certified menopause practitioner, AASECT-certified sex counselor, and Fellow of the International Society for the Study of Women’s Sexual Health (ISSWSH) and the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners (AANP).
As founder of the Sexual Health Optimization and Wellness (SHOW) Center, Dr. Quaile is dedicated to providing holistic, evidence-based care that addresses the biopsychosocial aspects of health and sexuality. She is a passionate advocate for women’s health and sexual health awareness, frequently lecturing and publishing on these topics.
In addition to her clinical work, Dr. Quaile is active in professional organizations, legislative advocacy, and the care of human-trafficked teenagers through a medical center she helped establish in Georgia. Outside of work, she enjoys time with her family, including her husband, three sons, and their rescue dogs.
